Willie Ples May passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Fort Worth Texas.
He was born on October 9, 1933 in Leona, Texas to James Edmond and Mallie
Abigail May.
Willie never married but he was very committed to his family. He worked hard
and saved his money and gave generously to missions. He spent his time
watching Christian TV programs and reading his Bible. His favorite chapter
was Psalm 91 which he would quote to me along with many other scripture
verses. He loved his nephews and nieces. One of their favorite memories is
how he would make canned milk ice cream and freeze it in ice cube trays for
their treat every Sunday.
Willie is survived by a sister, Bessie Russell of Cleburne, Texas and numerous
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers – James Andrew,
Marvin Ray, Joe Melvin and John Daris, and one sister, Ruthie Jewel Sharp.
