William (Wild Bill) Willm passed away Thursday September 8, 2022 at his home in Alvarado. He was born February 7, 1940 in Halstead, KS to William (Bill) Willm and Vera O. McElwain Willm.
William graduated from Halstead High School in 1958 and went to New York City, New York and attended apprenticeship for the Linotype Union. He went to work for the Hutchinson News. On November 3, 1973, he married Retta Warkentin. In 1978, he moved to Arlington, TX and worked for the school district until his retirement. William enjoyed all types of racing, fast cars, motorcycles and boats.
He was preceded in death by his parents and many 4 legged "kids".
William is survived by his wife Retta Warkentin Willm of Alvarado, TX; son, William (Bill) Willm (Valorie Emmerich) of Hutchinson, KS; granddaughter, Gloria Moss (Britton) and children of Aquila, TX; grandson, Troy Flager (Tammy) and sons of Hutchinson, KS; granddaughter, Rehannon Smith (Ross Griffith) and daughters of Hutchinson, KS; cousin, Jim Willm (Jackie) and children of Nickerson, KS; cats, Stumpy, Lucky and Hobbs; and numerous friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday 5-7 pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, TX.
