In Loving Memory of William "Wild Bill" Hill
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Jay Hill, known affectionately to family and friends as Billy and in his younger years as "Wild Bill." To his beloved grandchildren, he was their cherished "Pa-pa," and to extended family “Popa G.” Billy left us on March 22, 2025, at Huguley Hospital. He was 65 years old, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering dedication to his family.
After 43 beautiful years of marriage, Billy's greatest partnership was with his beloved wife Regina Hill. Together, they built a life rich with love and family.
Born on June 23, 1959, in Canandaigua, New York, to Marjorie Carey and William John Hill, Billy's life was a vibrant tapestry of hard work, artistic passion, and unconditional love. A skilled tradesman with a heart of gold, he spent his life providing for his family through dedicated labor, working tirelessly in roles from roofing to drywall finishing, and automotive paint and body work.
An artist at heart, Billy found joy in drawing and shading, and cherished moments spent building model kits with his grandchildren. Those who knew him understood that there was never a dull moment in Billy's presence – he had a unique ability to light up a room with his personality and creativity. His eclectic interests included a love for his dogs, motorcycles, decorative eagles, skulls, and wolves, and he was known for his love of window shopping for shoes and jewelry.
Billy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Regina Hill, his brothers David Hill (wife Julianna) and Jerry Hill (wife Jayla), his sister Teresa Shader, his children Crystal Tibbs, Casey Tibbs, Tristan Tibbs, Stephen Shaw, and Monique Wright, and his 13 beloved grandchildren: Shyler Tibbs, Corey Hill, Gabriel Ferrier, Jacob Ferrier, Blake Tibbs, Emery Rose Tibbs, McKenzie Wright, Makayla Wright, Taylor Wright, Nathen Wright, Shaylee Shaw, Korbin Shaw, and Serenity Shaw. He was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Myera Wright. Billy is preceded in death by his parents Marjorie Hill and William Hill brothers Kenneth Hill and Jeffrey Hill.
Known for his boundless love and ability to bring joy and excitement to every moment, Billy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of family, hard work, and creative expression.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 11:00 am at Joyful Life Church of God, with Sister Cynthia Martinez officiating. Following the service, Billy will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the church following the interment.
Pallbearers will be Gabriel Ferrier, Tristan Tibbs, Shyler Tibbs, Corey Hill, David Hill, and Kevin Ferrier. Honorary Pallbearers will be his two youngest grandsons, Jacob Ferrier and Blake Tibbs.
