Wedia Hill went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
Wedia was born to Juanita (Tackett) and William Cyle Singleton on July 30, 1943, in San
Saba, Texas.
She had an unconditional love for her family that never ceased. Her siblings were all
close and would often step up to help raise the younger children. Her sister, Peggy was
especially like a mother to Wedia and carried her on her hip everywhere.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 19 th at 2:00pm, at Cahill Cemetery, in
Alvarado, TX. The service will be officiated by her nephew, Pastor Jimmy Jeter.
Wedia was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hill, as well as her parents,
brothers, Alvin Singleton, Billy Singleton, and sisters, Pauline Wells and Faye Teas, Peas.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Dwayne Russell, Timothy Ray Russell, Walter Floyd
Brown (Gina), and her daughter Penelope Makar-Turner (Ronnie), (12) twelve
grandchildren, (20) great grandchildren, brothers Curtis Singleton (Betty), Donnie
Singleton, Jack Singleton (Pat), Milton Singleton (Tammy), Ricky Singleton (Carla), and
sisters Lois Kotara (Jerry), Peggy Riley, Reba Sharp, and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was loved by many close friends, and she loved them all as well.
