Celebrating the Life of Wayne Allen Gibson

Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was called home suddenly on February 6th, 2023, at the age of 76.

He was born to Alton and Eula Gibson on July 8th, 1946. Wayne had 5 sisters and 7 brothers alongside his childhood.

Wayne had 3 children, James Allen, Rhonda Gibson, Rodney Gibson. He met the love of his life at the age of 29, Debra Gibson who was 17. Married faithfully for 46 years and together they had 3 children. Gary (Bubba), Brandy and Chance Gibson and raised 2 children Jimmy Burns and David Lowrey.

Wayne leaves behind 51 Great grandchildren and 30 grandkids Haley, Cheynne, Luke, Katie, Megan, Mia, Layne, Dalton, Presley, Ryver, Weston, Garrett, Birdman, Alexis, Devanie, Boogie, Alton, Jake
Justin, Elaine, Joshua, Manessa, Thad, Brandon, Ethan, Garrett, Pearl, Jamie, Jimmy Lee, Amber and lastly Tyler who he now resides happily with.

For anyone who knew Wayne, knew that the man had character. He had no filter when it came to what was on his mind. He lived every day to blow leaves and ride his lawn mower across his yard. If you didn’t see him with a cup of black coffee, you saw him with a beer in his hand living his best life possible.
Wayne was very much a homebody. If you ever wanted to find him, you knew exactly where he’d be. Home. Sitting at his picnic table watching the cars go by and listening to his radio play.

To the hardheaded, stubborn, strong willed, hardworking but smart, caring and loving family man, Wayne Gibson lived a good and happy life. The Gibson name isn’t just any name to carry, it’s a name of honor. Honoring the man who gave us what we call family today.
