Warren Jenkins Jr. Obituary

9-10-1986 to 10-01-2025

Warren Mitchell Jenkins ran into the arms of Jesus on October 1, 2025.

He was born at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas, where he lived and attended school. No one who met Mitchell could forget his infectious passion for life. At the age of ten, on May 29, 1996, during church camp, he accepted the Lord. He later joined Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie, where he was baptized on September 26, 2004. On Father’s Day, June 16, 2024, Mitchell rededicated his life and was baptized again at his boys’ church, Palmer Cowboy Church. His love for the Lord was evident, and he leaned on his faith daily.

In 2009, Mitchell married Sarah Spurgeon, and together they were blessed with three cherished sons: Weston Mitchell, Zachary James, and Jacob Ray. In 2021, Mitchell’s life was brightened again when he married Tracie Friar. Through this union, he gained a fourth son, Christopher, whom he embraced as his own. They built a life together in Waxahachie, where they made their home until his untimely passing.

Mitchell loved all things sports, especially when his boys were involved. He enjoyed grilling a variety of meats, playing golf, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and visiting with every person he met. He cared deeply about his family, his friends, and even strangers—always putting others first. He found joy in being a brother and uncle and treasured his role as “Captain” of the Summit Jaguars. Mitchell also took pride in his work, where he was a UAW skilled trades brother, never once dreading a day on the job. Above all, he was devoted to his wife and his boys, who were the pride and joy of his life.

He is preceded in death by his PaPa Jack, his Great-Uncle Ronnie, and his Uncle Lindsey.

Mitchell is survived by his loving wife, Tracie; his former wife, Sarah (Jorden); his beloved sons, Weston, Zachary, Jacob, and Christopher; his parents, Mitch and Tammy; his sister, Lauren, and brother-in-law, Brandon; nephews, Brax and Benny; niece, Cam; father- and mother-in-law, Allen and Diana; grandmothers, Adolyn Curry (“Nannie”) and Jackie Harris (“Grandma”); and bonus grandmother, Anita Maughan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Tammy and husband Joseph; nephews, Collin and Cameron; niece, Kylie; Aunt Kristi; Aunt Lisa (“second momma”) and husband Bryan; cousins, Morgan (Noah) and Macie; Uncle Wendell (“Bubba”); and NUMEROUS other relatives and friends who dearly loved him.
