Veronica (Roni) Lynn (Bale) Lewis

Veronica (Roni) Lynn Lewis, 68, of Burleson, TX, formerly Tremont, IL, passed Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at 12:51 a.m. 

Roni was born September 23, 1955, in Belton, TX. She was a 1973 graduate of Pekin High School. She then married the love of her life, Harold William (Bill) Lewis, on April 6, 1974, in Pekin, IL.

Surviving are her two grandchildren, Taryn and Caden, and their father Chuck Vedder of Germantown Hills, IL. Also surviving are her three brothers: Anthony (and Sally) of Burleson, TX; Frank, and Terry Bale, as well as, their mother Tommie Bale of Alvarado, TX. Roni was preceded in death by her husband, their daughter Taky Vedder, natural father Frank Schaffer, and adopted father David Bale. 

Roni (also known as “first name Aunt, last name Lynn” and on one odd occasion “Sister Roni”) was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and nama. She worked in arts & crafts shops and fairs; in various positions in the bar & restaurant industry; as a volunteer for any need at church; and as a loving caregiver to many: animals & humans alike. 

She was a lover of gnomes, a painter of rocks, an avid garage saler, and a cheater at cards. She will be wholeheartedly missed and fondly remembered.
