Vera Lenora (Stokley) King

Vera Lenora King, 94 passed away April 27, 2021. Vera was born January 23, 1927 in Hempstead, Texas to Waymon Stokley and Mary Viola Davis. She was raised in the Houston area and married William King. Together they celebrated 17 years of marriage before he preceded her in 2007. They enjoyed woodworking, painting, gardening and traveling when they could. Vera was a special woman who treasured her children and loved the Lord and attending church. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Charles and Jan Felts, Curtis Felts, Clifton and Becky Felts and her son in law Jerry Tate, Step son Ralph and wife Marla King. Step daughter Linda and husband John Bailey. Vera has one surviving sibling, Herbert Stokley, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. 
She is preceded in death by her parents, Waymon and Viola Stokley, daughter, Deborah Elaine Tate and three brothers; F.A. Stokley, Waymon Stokley Jr. and Alton Stokley. 

Visitation will be held Friday, April 30th at the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel from 10am to 12 pm.

The Chapel Service will begin at 12 am and follow with an internment at the Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Texas.
