Vance Robinett Obituary

Vance Austin Robinett was born on September 23, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to Van and Frances Robinett. The family moved to Grandview, Texas, where Vance graduated from Grandview High School in 1974. There, he met his beloved wife, Marlene Robinett. Vance and Marlene were married on January 10, 1976 at the First Baptist Church in Grandview. The couple enjoyed forty-six years of marriage and raised three children together.

 

Vance worked in agricultural insurance for Millers' Insurance Group for thirty years in downtown Fort Worth. He also repaired lawn mowers with his father at the barn, where he spent most of his free time with his dog, Doc. He enjoyed fishing at the land cut, spending time with his family, and looked forward to attending the Pate Swap Meet every year with his close group of friends.

 

Vance passed away on February 26, 2022 surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Van Alton Robinett, of Grandview, TX in July of 2012. He is survived by his mother Frances Robinett of Grandview, TX; sister Brenda Allen and husband Terry of Euless, TX; sister Vanetta Herron and husband David of Grandview, TX; wife Marlene Robinett of Grandview, TX; daughter Rachel Boyd and husband Jeremy of New Braunfels, TX; son Curtis Robinett and wife Suzanne of Grandview, TX; son Clint Robinett and wife Rikki of Burleson, TX. Grandad is survived by eight grandchildren, Sydney Carson, Logan Boyd, and Hunter Boyd of New Braunfels, TX; Alex Canterbury, Emma Robinett, and Sophia Robinett of Grandview, TX; Rylee Robinett and Taylor Robinett of Burleson, TX. Grandad is also survived by two great grandchildren, Ada Carson and Leialoha Boyd of New Braunfels, TX.
