Valerie Juanita Kirkland

Valerie Juanita Kirkland, age 63, passed away on January 28, 2026.  She was born on April 3, 1962, in west Texas, in Brownfield, and was raised in Alvarado, Texas.  She graduated from Alvarado High School with the Class of 1980. 

Valerie was the beloved daughter of Charlie Juanita (Liles) Kirkland and Kenneth Wayne Kirkland.  She was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Amanda Kirkland.  She is survived by her brother, Donald Kirkland and wife Terry, and brother Rodney Kirkland and wife Donna. Her nieces and nephews include: Niki Kirkland Agado and husband Bryan; Kyle Kirkland and wife Jessica; Ashley Kirkland Brewster and husband Will; Matthew Kirkland and wife, April; Audrey Kirkland and boyfriend, Josh; and Dylan Kirkland and wife Mikayla. As well as her dearest friend, Nicol Neal; six great nieces and eight great nephews; extended family and many dear friends.

Valerie obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration and Project Management from Amberton University.  She was a successful Product Data Analyst Manager at Mouser Electronics where she was known for her intelligence, precision, and strong work ethic. 

She was an avid animal lover, and cherished being out in nature taking photographs of the beauty around her and gazing at the heavens with her telescope. Most of all, she will be remembered for her beautiful Christian heart through her countless acts of kindness, generosity, empathy and selfless love for everyone.  

Her memory will be cherished by so many hearts.
