Thomas Argo Lile Jr.

Thomas Argo Lile Jr., was born to Thomas Argo Lile Sr., and Helen Louise Bow in Childress, Texas on September 5th of 1948.  He grew up in Mansfield, TX.  He graduated from Mansfield High School in 1967.  He enjoyed youthful summers in Bonham, TX at his grandparents farm and has lived in Alvarado, TX for the past 40 plus years.

This is where I am supposed to give an accounting of Tom's life or write all the really nice history and things about Tommy, but I can't seem to get that kind of phrasing to accurately say who Tommy really was and it wouldn't do justice to him.  He had a sharp wit and quick retort.  He had a way of telling stories and enjoyed reminiscing about the old days, shooting the bull, and otherwise, he would tell it as he saw it, just like he would tell me to do that now, tell it straight and keep it simple, so out of respect for him and all of you, here goes.

Tommy was an independent, confident, stubborn and often arrogant man, but he was also  very big hearted, kind and generous man.  He loved with his whole heart and he loved deeply.  If he knew you and you needed help, he would lend a hand in anyway he could.  I've seen him help strangers quite often as well.  He was born with the ability to talk to just about anyone and would often regale one with great stories and leave you in stitches of laughter,

All of us will remember Tommy in our own way and for many different things, I hope that what we remember most about him is that he was truly a good man who cared for each of us.  May we spend this time together today, let it be less about the sorrow and more about the celebration of his life, all the good times, the bad times, and everything in -between that made Tommy the man that we all know and love.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lile Sr., and Helen Bow and beloved wife, Marybeth Lile.

He is survived by wife, Elizibeth and sons, Darren (Paige), Dewayne (Tammie) and Darrell .  Grandchildren, Laramie, Darrenger, Garrett and great-granddaughter, Remington.   Step-sons, Alex (Kim), Nicholas (Victoria) and grandchildren Joycelyn, Taten, Izzy, William, Dominic, Bentley, Gauge and Vayda.
