Terry Lee Reynolds, 65, our beloved husband, father, and Papa T, passed peacefully on January 16, 2026. following a long and difficult battle with cancer.
Terry was born in Newport, Arkansas, and raised in Alvarado. After graduating from Alvarado High School, he attended college and took some classes while working at the Cleburne hospital. Later, he enjoyed working for Don McNeil Enterprise in Alvarado. He was an operations manager and director of public utilities for the city of Alvarado. Terry previously worked for Johnson County Fresh Water before joining Cleburne Propane as a service manager. Everywhere he traveled, he made friends and created a lifetime of memories. Then, in an attempt to {appease} his wife and be near the grandchildren, Terry became daring, packed up, and relocated across states to Kentucky, where he lived for 13 years. He worked for Toyota and Buffalo Trace Distillery until 2017, when he retired. Despite all of the changes in his career, he was respected for his honesty and commitment. He was renowned for his extraordinary work ethic throughout his career because he believed in doing the job well, whether he was working long hours or mentoring others.
Terry was a diligent worker who enjoyed using his skills to renovate and rebuild nearly every house he owned. Over the past few years, he returned to Texas and made his home living in a little piece of heaven {Lakelife}, where he loved spending time with family, visiting the lake, and, of course, engaging in his favorite activities—building, gardening, and raising chickens. His pride in his work was evident in everything he did, and he instilled those values in his children and grandchildren that would last long after his passing. Most people will remember Terry for his sense of humor, pranks, and, most importantly, compassion for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Symanthia Baze; brother Michael Willie Reynolds; and sisters, Lisa Reynolds and Leah Watson.
Terry is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Carla Reynolds; sons Charlie Franklin and William Joseph (Joey) Franklin; and wife Lexi. Papa T's pride and joys are his grandchildren, Brayden, Michael, Camden, Zack, Kaylee, Ary, and Lizzie. Sisters Rita Hughes and Tammy Siratt; husband Dean; Teresa Cisco; Brothers Jeff Baze and his wife, Janie; and Todd Baze and his wife, Christie. Sister-in-law Ann Reynolds, Sisters-in-law Sue Guthrie and her husband Tony, as well as Ruby Houck and her husband Ken.
He had many precious nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who meant a lot to him.
