Ruby Jo Woolard, age 99, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025. She was born on March 27, 1926, in Denton, Texas, to Robert Lee Matthews and Pluma Catherine (Adams) Matthews.
Ruby Jo was raised in Denton and went on to build a full and meaningful life grounded in faith, family, and service. She married the love of her life, Jack Kenneth Woolard, and together they shared a long and devoted marriage until his passing. Ruby Jo retired from the City of Fort Worth and also enjoyed successful careers as a real estate broker with Alvarado Real Estate, and she was a licensed insurance broker.
A proud resident of Alvarado, she was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Alvarado. Her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived—always kind, always present, and always faithful.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Jack Kenneth Woolard, her son Joseph Keith Woolard, five sisters, and one brother.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving son Jack Kenneth Woolard Jr.; her grandchildren Amie Woolard, Keith Woolard, Jenny O'Neill, Mitch Woolard, Jim Woolard, and Peaches Holliday; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Ruby Jo adored her family deeply, never missed an event for her grandkids, and was known for her incredible cooking, warm spirit, and unwavering love.
Her legacy of faith, devotion, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
