Royce "Rusty" A. Groves

Royce Groves 81 passed away Sunday August 18, 2019 at Huguley Hospice, Burleson, Texas.

 Royce was born March 10, 1938 in Anadarko Oklahoma to Ranzo and Lenora (Rose) Groves.   He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ray Groves, sisters Edith Grisham, Reba Johnson, Bernice Griffin,  grandsons  Scottie  Mayfield and Chase Ezell.  Survivors include his wife of 53 years Mertie (Cooper)Groves, sons Reggie Groves, James Samuel Jr (Wanda), Curtis Samuel, Lanny Price (Sandra), daughters Lanna LaFountain (Greg), Lena Wood, Shellie Groves (John). 17 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren,  sister  Sandra Rodgers and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are grandsons  James Mayfield, Trey Kirkpatrick, Cooper Ezell, Ryon Wood, Corey Chamberlain, Lain LaFountain, and honorary pallbearer  Mason Groves.

Visitation and Service will be at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home,  200 E. Patton  Alvarado Texas

76009 with visitation being Friday August 23, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm and the service will be on

Saturday August 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM

 Burial will take place at Bethany Rest Cemetery, CR 810 Alvarado Tx. 76009

Lunch will be served at Comfort Inn, 400 Village Park Dr.  Alvarado Tx. 76009
