Roy Tackett passed away April 22, 2026 in Cleburne, Texas. He was born on February 6, 1935 to Harvey and Mildred Tackett in Grandview, Texas. Roy was married to Sudie Pearl for 69 years, she preceded him in death in February 2025.
He is survived by his children Beverly Sarradet, husband Gary of Tomball, Tony Tackett of Grandview and grandchildren Emily Miller, husband Rob of Burleson, Sydney Threadgill, husband Reese of The Woodlands, Joseph Sarradet, wife Larissa of Odessa, William Sarradet and Thomas Sarradet of Dallas. Six great-grandsons Aaron Miller, Abraham, Isaac and Benjamin Threadgill and Brett and Brendan Sarradet and many nieces and nephews. Roy was a second dad to Angela Young and Paula McGehee. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Martin of Grandview.
Roy began his career at Lone Star Gas in downtown Fort Worth as a meter reader and retired 38 years later as a marketing representative, he was on active duty in the National Guard in 1962. He loved Grandview and the people. He had a servant 's heart and served his community unselfishly. He wore many hats through his Tackett Service business, as a volunteer for Grandview Fire Dept, Masonic Lodge, Grandview Nursing Home maintenance, city council, local realtor and member of First Methodist Church of Grandview. He will be missed.
