Rowdy Lee Holbert

Rowdy Holbert would have turned 31 on January 21, 2018.
Although he lived a less than average life span, Rowdy did not live an average life. 
Rowdy’s words were few; when he spoke you wanted to listen. 
He was wickedly funny, quick-witted, wise beyond his years and, on occasion, lovingly off-color.
His world revolved around his wife Ashley and daughter Kaysen whom he loved fiercely. He leaves them knowing they are both tasked to continue his charge as a leader, to remain a force for God and to thrive in their pursuit of happiness. 
He worked tirelessly and faithfully as a journeyman crane operator to provide a beautiful life for his girls: Ashely Holbert, Kaysen Holbert, mother Donna Holbert, and sister Felicia Holbert.
Rowdy loved racing dirt-track cars, wearing overalls, fishing, enjoying a cold beer, hunting, cussing (a little), laughing (a lot) and speaking the gospel to anyone that asked about the cross he wore (at all times)...all of this in no particular order. 
Rowdy loved large. If he loved you, you knew it. If he didn’t, you knew that too. 
Rowdy is survived by Ashley, Kaysen, Donna, Felicia, brother in law
Nick Smith, nieces / nephews Tori, Tyler, Trent, Alexis, Logan, Lilly, honorary father, Ronnie Vaughan, honorary brother, Bubba Jackson
and a truckload of diverse friends. 
There will be no viewing as we simply cannot honor his frequently stated request to be placed face down in his casket...
A celebration of Rowdy’s life will be held at Kennedale Speedway Saturday, January 20 @ 2:00 pm.
Join us to honor his life by filling the stands, sharing favorite memories and drinking a cold beer together. 
Help us celebrate Rowdy in true Rowdy fashion. He wouldn't have it any other way. Y’all love one another.
