Ronald Wayne Griffin

Ronald Wayne Griffin, 80, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away on August 9, 2026. He was born on April 22, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to Marion Oliver Griffin and Effie Lee “Patsy” McClary Griffin.

Ronald worked in the field of electronics and was an amateur radio operator. He was also known by family and friends as the world’s best knife sharpener.

In 1994, Ronald married Elizabeth Kay (Davee) Griffin. Together they enjoyed a loving family. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children, Becky, Kimberly, Scotty, Shannon, and Melanie; six grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Oliver and Effie Lee “Patsy” Griffin, and his sister, Linda Griffin.

He will be remembered with love by his family and those who knew him.
