Rogelio Ponce

Rogelio Ponce a lifelong resident of Alvarado, Texas, passed to be with the Lord on September 29, 2020 at the age of 25. 

Rogelio, beloved son of Santos and Araceli Ponce was born on July 15, 1995 in Cleburne, Tx. He graduated from Venus High School in 2014. Roy had a love for all sports,but no team came close to the love he had for the one and only DALLAS COWBOYS. Rogelio loved to spend time with family and friends. He was equally proud of being a Ponce as well as being a Chacon. Family was the mostimportant thing to him. He enjoyed taking trips to Mexicowith his family where he fell in love with his horse Chico.Rogelio’s friends knew that Roy was just a phone call away if there was ever anything, they may need. 

Roy loved his job at Geyer Drilling and spoke often of how great and loving his employer was towards him. Rogelio was loved by all his fellow co-workers. Although he was also known as a quiet and shy individual, he was also known as a hard worker who was willing to do anything that was asked of him. Roy was an overall skilled worker that would help on the service and drilling side of the company. There was no task that Roy ran away from. 

The list of things that could describe Rogelio is endless. He loved to take his nephew and niece on countless trips and even though he teased them daily, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for Danny, Laila, or Ailyn.  Known as the baby of the family, Roy will be missed forever, and he will never be forgotten. Roy will always be in all our hearts and he will live in our memories forever.

Rogelio Ponce is survived by his father and mother Santos and Araceli Ponce, Sister and brother-in-law Bianca and Noe Castaneda, Sister and brother-in-law Elvira and Justin Morales, brother and sister-in-law Santos Jr. and Rachel Ponce, and nephew and nieces Daniel Alexander Ponce, Laila Nicole Castaneda and Ailyn Noemi Castaneda. Rogelio is also survived by his grandfather Pedro Ponce, grandfather Francisco Chacon. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Irene Medrano Ponce; grandmother, Yolanda Paz Gomez.

A memorial service for Rogelio Ponce will take place onOctober 3, 2020. Located at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home at 6pm in Alvarado, Tx. A Celebration of Life service will be held on October 4, 2020 at Templo Nueva Vida in Alvarado, Tx. Any Flowers may be sent to Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado, Tx.
