Robert E. Loper passed away at home on December 21, 2025. He was born on July 1, 1944, in Wellsville, New York. He was a mechanic most of his life and the owner of B&L Auto.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert “Rob” Loper Jr. of Alvarado; his parents, Harold and Thelma Loper of Hornell, New York; his sister, Mary (Jake) Lantz; and his brothers, Kenneth Loper and Harold Loper Jr., both of Hornell, New York.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Doris Loper of Alvarado, Texas; his daughter, Jennifer Loper of Alvarado; three granddaughters, Ashrya (JT) Monroe of Cleburne, Alexis Ortiz of Alvarado, and Andriea Ortiz of Cleburne; and seven great-grandchildren: Landon, Mavrick, Myles, and Miley Monroe of Cleburne; Noah Ortiz and Jesse Lindsey of Alvarado; and Delilah Bennett of Cleburne.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
