Robbie Munger

Robbie Munger, affectionally known as granny, died October 13, 2022. She was 92 years old. Born in Venus, Tx on December 18, 1929 to her parents Ellen and Habib Prestridge, Robbie grew up proudly as a Johnson County farmers child. She spoke fondly of helping her parents on the farm during her childhood days. She attended Northside High School in Fort Worth, TX, where she was part of an all star basketball team. She attended Business School afterwards and then moved to Bedford, Tx in 1951, where she lived until relocating to Johnson County Tx in 2009. She worked as an electronics assembler until retirement. Robbie loved to visit family and go on adventures rather it be a day trip, a weekend fishing trip or vacation to a relaxing getaway. Most of all she loved to just sit and talk. She was the loving mother of three children and is survived by her daughter, Nancy Johnson and husband Jimmy, son David Newton and wife Marsha, and son Keith Wood and wife Donna. She was Granny to seven grandchildren, Karen, Lisa, Leslee, Darby, Lacee, Lynn and Curtis, and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother Lewis, sister Opal, three grandchildren, Karen, Darby and Lynn. She will be laid to rest at the Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado In Johnson county TX, where she proudly referred to as her raising and home.
