Retta Lou Willm

Retta Lou (Warkentin) Willm, 76, passed away May 22, 2024 at her home in Alvarado, TX. She was born July 13, 1947, in Inman, KS to Rudolph P. “Ralph” and Etta M. (Nickel) Warkentin. Retta graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1965 and she immediately went to work for Southwestern Bell, committing her entire working career to the company and retired in 1995. On November 3rd, 1973 she married William “Wild Bill” Willm in Hutchinson, KS. They later moved in 1978 to Arlington, TX and in 2000 they had a new home built in Alvarado, TX.

Retta enjoyed the beach, dolphins, Avon, fast cars, show cars, motorcycles, entertaining friends and family and NASCAR. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and many 4-legged kids. 

Retta is survived by her son, William “Bill” Willm (Valorie) of Hutchinson, KS; granddaughter Gloria Moss (Britton) and 3 children of Aquilla, TX; grandson Troy Flager (Tammy) and 2 sons of Hutchinson, KS; granddaughter Rehannon Smith (Ross Griffith) and 2 daughters of Hutchinson, KS; beloved cat Stumpy and numerous family and friends.
