In Loving Memory of Pearl "Tincie" Evangeline Vick Lowe
Pearl "Tincie" Evangeline Vick Lowe, a beloved resident of Alvarado, Texas, peacefully passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 97. She was born on August 27, 1926, in Alvarado, Texas, to parents Willard Vick and Stella Wiggins Vick.
Tincie is survived by her loving children, Vernon Lowe and wife Theresa of Alvarado, Texas, and Doris Hanks and husband Harvey of Alvarado, Texas. She is preceded in death by her son Billy Jack Lowe and by her sisters Lucille Mackey, Mary Gillaspie, and Emiline "Mellie" Ferguson.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by grandchildren Tracy Johnson and husband Robert of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Robin Latson of Alvarado, TX, Robert Hanks and wife Meridith of Brock, Texas, Justin Hanks and wife Christy of Granbury, Texas, and Kyle Hanks of Alvarado, Texas. Tincie was blessed with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Tincie was a lifelong resident of Alvarado, attending Alvarado Schools, Class of 1944. Over the years, she dedicated her time and hard work to various jobs, including roles at Convair in Fort Worth, Texas, Happy's Cafe in Alvarado, Rangaire in Cleburne, Texas, Howmet in Alvarado, and Allco in Alvarado, Texas.
Known for her love of dancing and bingo, Tincie was also a devoted caregiver for her family. Sunday dinners with fried chicken became a cherished tradition, creating lasting memories for her loved ones. Her warm heart and enduring spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and fond memories she created throughout her remarkable 97 years of life.
