Patsy Ruth (Virgil) Lauderback

Patsy Ruth Lauderback, née Virgil, was born on November 6, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Benjamin Virgil and Essie Smith. She passed away on September 20, 2026.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lauderback; her siblings, Benjamin Virgil Jr. and Hattie May; and her children, Earl Jones Sr. and Bennie Flaten.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Jamie Ellis and husband Jon, Jennifer Moore, Earl Jones Jr. and wife Misty, and Diana Sanchez; her great-grandchildren, Skyler and Shelby Ellis, Faith and Grace Jones, Sergio and Kayden Sanchez, and Christopher and Christian Morales and Eli Gasca; and her two youngest great-great-grandchildren, Sergio Angel Sanchez III and Stephan Sanchez.

She is also survived by her nephews, Kevin and Steven Virgil; her nieces, Debbie Meredith and Denisa Daniels; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Patsy enjoyed playing bingo and shuffleboard at the VFW, as well as attending church. She retired from the Burleson Independent School District at the age of 82.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 24, 2026, at Bethesda Cemetery.
