Orlan James Douglass

Alvarado — Orlan James Douglass, 55, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2019, following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his beautiful wife and two daughters.

Orlan was born to Joe W. Douglass and Regina Evans Douglass in Fort Worth, Texas on June 7, 1964, he was raised in Hereford, Texas. He eventually moved to Alvarado, Texas and raised his family there. 

Orlan was a great husband and a wonderful dad who loved his family more than life itself. He lived life to the fullest. He spent most of his days outdoors either in the mud or on a boat soaking up some sun with his family and friends. He loved his lake family. 

Orlan is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mitzi Diane Miller Douglass; his daughters, Tyler and Kylee Douglass; his sister, Lorna Douglass Clark (Eve); his step-mother, Joaquin Douglass; step-siblings, Carol Birch, Gayla Soucek, Jim (C’Cie) Birch, Monique Birch, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-brother, John E. Birch; and niece, Brittainy Jarrel.
