Mrs. Mary Earnestine Strength Baze, age 84, of Graham, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, in a nursing care facility in Graham, Texas.
Mrs. Baze was born in Waxahachie, Texas, on May 1, 1941, daughter of John Strength and Esther Stubblefield Strength. She married Joseph "Bud" Baze on November 22, 1956. They were married 56 years before Bud passed away in 2013, and pastored several churches in Texas and Oklahoma.
Mrs. Baze was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved to sew, paint, watch TV programs on HGTV and Hallmark, she was a green-thumb with her plants that she loved, and she also loved to read.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Pamela Ruth Baze and Patricia Mullins; and a granddaughter: Jordan Esther Baze.
Mrs. Baze is survived by a sister, Carolyn Sternberg (Ivan); children: James Baze (Jimmie); David Baze (Johnna); Debbie Mills (Allan); and Jonathan Baze (Sarah); she is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will held Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, in Alvarado, Texas, followed by burial in Auburn Cemetery, in Maypearl, Texas.
The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, in Alvarado, Texas.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Baze will be: John Mark Baze, Benjamin Baze, Jacob Baze, Michael Baze, Hunter Smith, and Hunter Sturm.
