Mary Louise (Lackey) Abshire

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Mary
Louise Abshire at her home in Midlothian, Texas on February 24 th , 2024 at the age
of 94. We take great comfort knowing she is with our Lord and her loved ones in
heaven.
Mary Louise Abshire was born November 25 th , 1929 in Houston, Texas to James
B. and Mary Katherine Lackey.
Preceded in death by the love of her life, Charlie Abshire, to whom she had been
married for 58 years. She was selflessly devoted to her family and was the most
wonderful mother her children could have asked for.
She will be forever loved and missed by her family and all those that were
blessed to have known her. 1 Corinthians 13:1
She is survived by one sister, Billie Joy Bradford of Warren, Ohio in addition to
her
four children:
Charles Wayne Abshire and wife Linda of Victoria, Texas
Robert (Bobby) Abshire and wife Sue of Angleton, Texas
Linda DeCarlo of Mansfield, Texas
Dana Marie Sparks and her husband Dana Scott of Midlothian, Texas
Multiple family members including:
Nine grandchildren; Bobby Abshire, Tori Faryna, Colby Abshire, Michael Hajecate,
Kelly Abshire, Alexis Mushinski, Sherri DeCarlo, Justin Walker and Jacob Walker.

Funeral services will be under the direction of Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral
Home in Alvarado, Texas.
Family viewing will be held Monday February 26, 2024 from 6-8 pm.
Graveside services will be held at Glenwood Cemetery February 27, 2024 at 1 pm
to which all friends and family are welcome and encouraged to attend.
