Lyle Paul Kurtenbach

Lyle Kurtenbach, 83, of Alvarado, TX, passed away on August 16, 2022. He was born in South Dakota on October 5, 1938. Lyle Kurtenbach graduated from Mitchell High School and received a Journeyman Wireman Classification from IBEW Local 426 Apprenticeship. He married Deanna Brim in 1960 and later divorced. He married Nelda Sue Swiney in 1991. Lyle and Nelda continued their marriage until her passing in 2015. He married Mary Woods on July 30, 2016 to whom he was happily married to for the rest of his journey. Lyle was a member of IBEW, Local 288 and had a passion for Jesus, woodworking, pheasant hunting, and the Texas Rangers. Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Stella Kurtenbach, brother, Robert, and sister, Betty. Lyle is survived by his wife Mary Kurtenbach, his children, Ritchie (Marianne) Kurtenbach, Renee Kurtenbach, Robin (Johnnie) Vaughn , Cory Mullins, Kellie (Olatunde) Disu, brothers, Dave and Roger Kurtenbach, sisters, Eleanor Delzer, Sherrill Trode, 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and an host of extended family and friends. A celebration of life for Lyle will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Cahill United Methodist Church, 8501 FM917, Alvarado, TX 79009.
