Lovana Carmine LaFarnara (Sami)
Beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Born on May 29, 1940, in Gainesville, Texas, Lovana was the daughter of Ralph and Minnie Williams. She spent most of her life in Venus, Texas, where she was a businesswoman, but most of all was a caring wife to her husband, Larry LaFarnara.
Lovana will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, humor, strength, generosity, and faith. She had a special way of making people feel welcomed, bringing the family together, and making people laugh. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She treasured the time she spent gardening, singing, spreading the word of God, and telling crazy stories.
She is survived by her children: Melissa Renee Holt and husband Don; Angelisa Monique McNeil and husband Jeff; and Billy Michael Ary and wife Melody; her sons-in-law David Bevers and Ken Coonradt; her grandchildren: Heather and Daniel Kelton, Joshua Jarvis, Carah Shaulis, Christian Goll, Kelsey Goll and Jonathan McNeil. Jimmie Don, Amanda, and Joshua Holt, Kenneth, Tony, and Cory Coonradt, Mikey, Alex, Zane, Ryan, Conner, Alissa, Emily, Miranda, and Jacob Ary, Emilee McClain, Faith Dwiggins, and numerous great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry LaFarnara; her parents, Ralph and Minnie Williams; her siblings, Thelma, Nadine, Wanda, Cecil, and Ralph Edward (Arkie); her daughters, Lovana Marcene Coonradt and Dawn Michelle Bevers; and her grandchildren, Aaron Coonradt, Samantha Ary, and Heaven Coonradt.
Lovana leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, family, faith, cherished memories, and all of her crazy stories that will continue through all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will remain in our hearts, and she will be deeply missed.
