Lois Marie (Wood) Melvin

Lois Marie Melvin, 63, of Alvarado, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Burleson. Visitation:  December 22, 2020 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, 200 E. Patton Avenue, Alvarado, Texas 76009.

Lois was born August 15, 1957 in Fort Worth the daughter of William Gaston Wood and Jean Ellen Sellers Wood. She married Reed M. Melvin March 2002 in Cleburne. Lois had several business adventures, she worked as a bookkeeper in the printing industry, a medical coder, she owned her own bar, and a nutritionist for Alvarado School District.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Reed M Melvin; parents, William Wood and Jean Boyd; and brother, Thomas Wood.

Those left to Cherish her memory: Son, Chris Wyatt and his wife Yadira of Bedford; grandchildren, Preston, Calista, and Bennett; brother, Kenny Lovell and his wife Beverly of Fort Worth; sister, Christie Buchanan and her husband Bruce of North Richland Hills; step-mother Penny Wood of Bedford; step-brother, Roy Boyd and his wife Candice of Joshua; and numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
