Lois Ann Ford Jones, age 72, passed away peacefully on
December 18, 2025. She was born on July 24, 1953, to William
Henry Ford and Lois Viola Tidwell Ford.
Lois grew up in Alvarado, Texas, where she built lifelong
friendships and cherished her roots. She later lived in Mansfield
and returned to Alvarado, a place that always felt like home to
her and her family. Lois was a faithful member of First Baptist
Church and lived her life guided by her Baptist faith.
She was married to Steven L. Jones for many years. Lois was
a talented hairdresser, caring for others both professionally and
personally throughout her life.
Lois was a devoted mother. She is survived by her daughters,
Leslie Ann Jones and Lynsay Nicole Jones Malone and
husband Patrick. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret
Ford Shivers and husband Eddie; her niece, Tammy Watson;
and several nieces and nephews. Lois leaves behind many
extended family members, including cousins, all of whom she
held dear.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Ford
and Lois Viola Tidwell Ford; her brother, Jessie Allen Ford and
wife Brenda; and her sister, Ruby Lea Ford and husband
Gerald.
In her free time, Lois loved cooking for her family and friends
and cheering on her favorite football teams. Her warm heart,
gentle spirit, and love for those around her will be remembered
always.
Lois Ann Ford Jones will be deeply missed by all who knew and
loved her, but her legacy of kindness, faith, and family devotion
will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
