Linda Mary (Reichert) Kriston

Linda Mary Kriston peacefully passed away on September 15, 2024 at her home in Alvarado, TX.  She was born in Rochester, NY on June 5, 1946 to Paul Reichert and Laura Reichert.

She married Stephen Kriston in NY and together they welcomed their 4 children. The family later moved to Denton, TX.

Linda graduated from Community College with her Nursing Degree and was a dedicated RN for over 40 years, mainly working with the elderly population.  The last 20 years of her career, she was a Hospice RN in Denton, TX.  She retired early at the age of 62 so she could enjoy her flower gardening, sewing and crafting hobbies.  She volunteered at the Denton County Food Center for many years.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her sister (Margaret Baldwin).

She is survived by her husband, Stephen of Alvarado, TX; her 4 children: Karen Nolt (Brent) of Alvarado, TX, Scott Kriston (Carla) of Highland Village, TX, Katherine Rodriguez (Gil) of Collinsville, TX and Kevin Kriston of Mansfield, TX; her 5 grandchildren: Amanda Gutknecht (Zach) of Sanger, TX, Jaclyn Rodriguez and Kaitlyn Rodriguez of Collinsville, TX, Alex Kriston of Highland Village, TX and Erik Kriston of Mansfield, TX; her 2 great-granddaughters: Harper Gutknecht and Timber Gutknecht of Sanger, TX; and her sister: Ellen Sowers (Lynn) of Cresson, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda may no longer be with us in person, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.  Rest in Peace, dear Linda.  You will be profoundly missed but never forgotten!

A small memorial service will be held on October 5, 2024 at 2pm at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her honor be made to AlevCare Hospice, 315 S. Main Street, Mansfield, TX 76063 or the Diabetes Foundation.
