Larry Weeks Obituary

Larry Lee Weeks, 75, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2024, at a hospice house in Burleson, Texas, after a catastrophic stroke. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on June 11, 1949, to Maurice and June Weeks, Larry grew up enjoying the outdoors with his brother John in Everton, Missouri.

After high school, Larry joined the Navy but served at a landlocked base. Following his service, he married Debra Pisell of Fort Worth, Texas. The couple worked hard in fence installation and welcomed their daughter, Tasha. They lived in Hawaii for a time along with his brother Mike before settling back in Texas.

Larry was skilled in leatherwork, creating wallets and saddle bags, and in 1995, he built his first Harley. He was treasurer of the Fort Worth chapter of the Rebel Riders. Later, he transitioned to welding, working at Jamieson Fence Supply until his retirement in 2011.

Despite health challenges, including COPD and a heart aneurysm, Larry was dedicated to his mother and family, always ensuring they were cared for. He enjoyed trips to the coast and creative projects on his boat.

Larry is survived by his wife, Debra; daughter, Tasha and her husband David Preisner; granddaughter, Breanna; great-grandsons Hezekiah and Lyam; mother, June; and brothers, John and Mike.

A private memorial service will be held later.
