Memorial Services: Visitation at Clayton Kay Vaughan in Alvarado, Texas on Monday, September 23, 2024. Church service at Bethel Temple in Cleburne, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cleburne Pregnancy Center.
She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and best friend. She was kind, free-spirited person that loved her family.
Survived by husband Tom Durington, son Curtis Raby and wife Dawn Raby, son Perry Don Raby and wife Tracey Raby, and son Preston Raby and wife Tara Raby, stepdaughter Ellen Fraser spouse Brian Fraser and stepson Matt Durington wife Laura Durington. Sisters Dorothy Koenig and Betty Green. Survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents JC (Papa Shorty) Manasco, Mildred Manasco, grand-children Tristan and Kirsten Raby, sister Linda Laramore, nephew Coby Green and nephew Kevin Laramore.
She had a strong faith and was an avid church goer. Her life was a testimony to the love of Christ. She was also involved in the Alvarado Garden Club. She had a green thumb and was particular about her flowers she won yard of the from the Garden Club. She planted blue bonnet seeds all around Alvarado. Loved to cook, she prepared meals for elected officials for the City of Alvarado. She loved animals she rescued many animals, the dog catcher for Alvarado even brought one to her home asking if she wanted the dog and of course she said “yes”. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas was always hosted in her home.
