Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Moody & Willie Nell Gowan, as well as, her sisters Betty and Mary Beth, and a brother, Bill. She has one surviving sister, Dorothy Monds and Dorothy’s husband Ricky. Joyce was 70 years old. Joyce raised 4 girls and taught them to tackle the world the same way she tackled every day; with the dignity that is found in hard work, the grace to accept life's challenges, and the mantra that above all, family comes first. She devoted every day of her life to making sure Cindy, Stephanie, Gina, and Kristi had everything they needed, felt loved and supported, and provided the foundation that all of their families are all built upon today. Families that gave her ten grandchildren Briana, Stephen, Audrey, Logan, Hannah, Nathan, Abby, Addison, Ethan, and Clinton. MeMe was the first one to snatch one of her 10 grandkids up for an attitude adjustment and the first one with open arms for a hug at the doorway. All of the kids looked forward to visits from MeMe and whatever little "treasure" she had found especially for them on her latest Garage Sale’ing adventure. We'll miss her stories, we'll miss her laughing, we'll miss her advice, but the girls will just miss their Momma.
Joyce has very active grandkids and in lieu of flowers please donate as you feel so inclined to any of the following worthy organizations that they support:

"In My Father’s house there are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also be welcome where I am.
You know the way to the place where I am going.”
