Johnny Ray Chapman, 82, of Lakeside Village, passed away September 29th, 2021 at home. He was born September 4th, 1939 in Avalon, Texas. He was preceded in death by loving parents Johnnie and Vaudene Taylor Chapman of Grandview, Texas.
After graduating from Grandview Highschool, Johnny Ray attended Texas Tech in Lubbock. He was a past Mastor of the Masonic Lodge of Grandview and enjoyed hunting and fishing, in addition to being a member of a local country western band.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim S. Wangler Chapman. Also by his children Jonny Ray Chapman Jr., Gary Lee Reid Jr., Traci Chapman Lampman and husband Chad Lampman. Grandchildren Brad Lampman and wife Lauren, Dalton Reid, and wife Nikole, Shayne Reid and Tate Walker, Mandy Chapman Shupp and husband Austin, Elizabeth Reid Houston and husband Kyle, and youngest grandson Seth Lampman. Great-granddaughters Summer and Raylee Reid, Emma Walker, Avalee Houston and Laney Lampman. Nephews and nieces Chuck and Gail Wangler, Catharene and Randy Douglass, Linda Wangler, Kim Wangler and Jack, Alicia and Danny Dean, Haylee Wangler, Melissa and Mike Ray, Mindy and James Dean, Tosha and Jeff Smith, Connie and Mike Wallace, and many more.
