Johnny Cecil Berry, “John”, 69, passed away on January 15, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.
John was born on May 29, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to Herbert and Janelle Berry. At the age of 20, John voluntarily joined the United States Navy, serving for over 20 years, and ultimately retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer Second Class. During his service, John served in many conflicts, including Vietnam and Desert Storm. Upon retirement from the Navy, John used his military experience as a HVAC and boiler technician to become a school maintenance worker within Fort Worth ISD. John retired from Fort Worth ISD to focus on his true passion of working on cars, being with family and friends, and making others laugh and smile.
John was survived by his three sisters, Kathy Tull, Melinda Monasco, and Carolyn Kelty; daughter Jennifer Farmer and husband Dale; sons Jeremy Berry and Joshua Berry; grandchildren Gennalee, Michaela, Rebekah, Elillian, Preston, Cierra, Dakota, Peighton, Hannah and Lauren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Janelle Ferris Berry, father Herbert Berry, and great-granddaughter Beatrice Coan.
