Jimmie W. York

Jimmie Weldon York passed away Monday in Cleburne, Texas on June 14, 2021.

He was born in Alvarado, Texas on January 20, 1939 to Robert J. York and Myrle Lee. 

He attended high school in Alvarado.

Jimmie held many occupations during his life

he was a barber, a machinist and owned several businesses. He also served as County Commissioner PCT 3 in the early 80's.

He was also a Air Force Veteran. Jimmie enjoyed reading, gardening, deer hunting, fishing and music. 

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents RJ (Doc) York and Myrle York, and his sister Alice Albritton.

Those left to cherish Jimmies’ memory are his wife, Shirley Ann York, his son Tim York and wife Robin, and his daughter, Lynette and husband Brett; grandchildren, Jennifer Dudik, Colby Barksdale, Brannon Hays, Jared Junker, and Jason Junker; brothers, Clay York and wife Barbara, James York and wife Becky, and Alvin York;  his great grandchildren, Della Violet Dudik and Sophie Jean Dudik; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
