Janie M. Johnson

Janie Marie McDonald Johnson was born on December 2, 1931 in Weatherford, Texas to James Harrison and Helen McDonald. Janie was also known to her family as "Sis" or "Aunt Sis". She passed from this world on November 28, 2022. She is preceded in death by her son, Chris Johnson; 3 brothers, James, Lawrence, and Charles; and both parents. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janie was a long time resident of Grandview and a member of the Baptist Church. 

She was a Barber by trade and she owned and operated Arlington Barber Shop for many years from which she retired. At her death, she was a resident of Colonial Manor Nursing Home, in Cleburne, Texas, after a stroke left her unable to live at home. A Celebration of Janie's life will be held in the chapel of Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado, Texas with her internment following in Grandview at the Grandview Cemetery. She will be laid to rest next to her mother and son.
