Jan McCown

Jan McCown, age 76 passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Mission Hospital. She was born in Tom Green County, TX on September 10, 1943 to the late Jessie Thomas Couch, Jr. and Geraldine Axtell Couch Cherry.

Jan was an avid golfer and member of the ladies golf club association at the Walden of Lake Houston Golf and Country Club. She was proud of her ladies championship golf team who won in Myrtle Beach at the Cool Max World Amateur Handicap Championship.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jack McCown; Children, Sheri Berger, Walter Wiebersick, Todd McCown and Cris McCown; numerous grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Cherry.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 am July, 22, 2020 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. and,

Jan will be inurned at a later date at Alvarado Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, TX
