James Tarver Obituary

James Lee Tarver peacefully left his earthly body on Monday, July 5, 2021, with his wife and sons at his side.

James was born on September 18, 1950, in Decatur, Texas to Lawrence and Eunice Tarver.  James and his older brother, Therman, were raised in Haltom City, Texas.  James later met his wife, Patsy, at the Dairy Queen on Broadway in Haltom City.  The two went on to have and raise two rambunctious sons in Covington, Texas.  Covington is where the couple of 52 years lived for the remainder of their time together.  James and Patsy owned a successful home business for several decades and had the pleasure to serve many school districts and recreational leagues.  They loved to travel and spend time together at home with their beloved beagle, Cricket.  James was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by both of his parents.  He is survived by many loved ones to include his wife, sons, five grandchildren, brother, two nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.  His wife, Patsy, lives in Covington in the home she and James shared.  His son, Keith, resides in Euless with his wife, Andrea.  His son, Kelly, resides in Arlington with his wife, Paula.  His grandchildren, Ashley, Travis, Lynsi Jo, Kade, and Preslee all reside in Texas.  James’ brother, Therman, resides in Perrin with his wife, Rosemary.  James is greatly missed by his family, his friends, and his community.
