Henry “Jake” DeVoe, 80, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1945.
Jake was a devoted father, a proud grandfather and greatgrandfather, and a beloved brother. He will be remembered as a kind and good-hearted man who deeply valued his family and the relationships he built throughout his life. Known for his easygoing spirit, Jake brought warmth and joy to those around him.
In his younger years, Jake was an accomplished bowler and spent time pitching, showcasing his love for sports—a passion he carried with him throughout his life. He also enjoyed traveling, playing golf with a lighthearted approach, and spending time at his cherished spot at Alvarado Lake. He found excitement in life’s simple pleasures, including the thrill of a fast-paced slot machine.

He is survived by his children, LeAnn, Dana, and Mitzi. He was a proud grandfather to Kinley; Seth and his wife, Destiny; Candace and her husband, Sebastian; and Ashley. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Blakelie, Carson, Olivia, Anna, and Elizabeth. He is further survived by his sisters, Dolly and Joanne, along with many loving nieces, nephews, dear friends, and bonus grandchildren who brought him great joy.
Jake will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his kindness, his love of family, and the many lives he touched.
