Harold Forest Massey

Harold Forest Massey, 92, passed away on August 10, 2026. He was born December 18, 1933, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Forest Alton “Buddy” Massey and Blossom Estelle (Shafer) Massey.

Harold grew up in the Meadowbrook area of Fort Worth and also spent time living in Brownwood, Texas. He attended Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth and later attended the University of Texas at Arlington.

Harold married Mancy Rose (Bernard) Massey, and they shared 66 years of marriage. He worked in kitchen equipment sales and spent much of his adult life in Burleson, Texas.

Harold enjoyed working with his hands and contributed to the construction of five of the homes built for him and Mrs. Massey over the years. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, and spending time in the mountains. Harold was of the Baptist faith.

Harold was a veteran of the United States Army. His son, Vinson Scott Massey, was also a veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest Alton “Buddy” Massey and Blossom Estelle Massey; and his son, Vinson Scott Massey.

Harold is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mancy Rose Massey; his children, Douglas Forest Massey and Micki La Rocco; and other family members and friends.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, with Harold’s brother-in-law, Ronny Bernard, officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Texas.
