Gloria Jean (Garrett) Parnell passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 in Cleburne.
She was born on March 23, 1945 in Cleburne to John Garrett and Pauline (Smith)
Garrett. Gloria married Melvin Lee Parnell on January 6, 1962 in Cleburne. She was a
hair stylist for over 20 years and a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Gloria is survived by her son Richard (Rick) Parnell and wife Tina of Cleburne; daughter
Christina (Christy) Williams and husband Richard of Cleburne; grandchildren, Ryan
Parnell of Cleburne; Jeremy Williams of Royce City; and Rachel Parnell of Cleburne;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Garrett; husband,
Melvin Lee Parnell; sister Mary (Garrett) Lackey; and brother Charles Wesley Garrett.
