Gerald Edward Frye

Gerald Edward Frye peacefully passed away on November 1, 2023, at the age of 78. Gerald was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 20, 1945, to Charles Wesley Frye Sr. and Lucille Durkee Frye. He graduated from Oklahoma State University, where he was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha. After serving honorably as a combat veteran in the Army during the Vietnam War for two years, Gerald returned home and married Cheryl. In 1979, his family relocated to Arlington, Texas, to pursue his career, where he spent most of his remaining years.

He is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Michelle Frye; his son, William Bret Frye, and daughter-in-law, Teresa; three grandchildren, Walker Edward Frye, William Connor Frye, Kelsay Michelle Hedlund; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Carole Cleveland.

Services and interment will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 17th, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Following the service, there will be an informal get-together to share memories of Gerald at Bret’s home, 1045 Clubhouse Dr, Mansfield, TX 76063.
