Gene Russell

Gene Earl Russell went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was born on August 22, 1941 to Walter Russell and Ima Pearl Baze in Milford, TX. Preceding him in death are his parents, grandson Michael, 14 brothers and sisters, J.W. Russell, Junior Russell, Frank Russell, Edwin Russell, Lawrence Russell, Don Russell, Joe Russell, Ima Lee Curtis, Joyce Parsons, and Alta Henderson. Gene loved the Lord and his family very much. He was a wonderful husband and dad. He enjoyed preaching the word and telling people how good God is. He pastored several churches and stayed busy building, truck driving, anything to stay busy. He said work was his hobby. At 81, he asked his sons to find him a job. He will probably ask God for a job. Our family appreciates all the prayers, love, and support during this time; and a special thanks to Community Hospice for their good care of our loved one. He is survived by wife Connie Russell of Alvarado, sons Gene Russell Jr. and Sheila of Cleburne, and Troy Russell and Lisa of Alvarado, daughter Kathryn Russell of Alvarado, and 2 sisters; Pearl Everett & Jerry of Thornton, TX and Patsy Pierce of Thornton, TX.
