Gaston G. Rhoades

Gaston Garnett Rhoades, of Sand Flat, Texas,born on March 3, 1935 to Jesse and Gertie Rhoades (both deceased) went to be with Jesus on January 10, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eva Rhoades, son Marshall Riley, and siblings Edith, JD, Levie, and Lela. He is survived by his brother Don Rhoades, daughter Laurie and her husband Omar Tabbakh,daughter Jesse Rhoades, and son Ricky Riley, Numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids. He was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church of Alvarado and was a devoted Christian. He was always there to lend a hand when needed. He loved to tinker with old lawn mowers. He loved to visit with his family and friends. And believe me, in his 87 years on this earth he had quite a few. He never met a stranger, he would sit and talk with anyone. He was a great man and will be missed by many. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Clayton Kay Funeral Home in Alvarado from 6-8 pm.Services will be Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Alvarado at 10am, with burial following at the Sand Flat Cemetery. Reception will be at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church following the burial.
