Gary was born March 9, 1951 in Cleburne, Texas to son of Lee Vern Rhodes and Hazel Allene Biggs Rhodes. He married Ricky October 13, 2016 in Burleson, Texas. Gary grew up in Alvarado and came from a large family. He spent his early years in the rodeo circuit and loved horses. He did leather work, made saddles and tack and went on to different jobs. Many people know him as Santa. He loved Scottish and Irish heritage. He participated in Scarborough Fair activities for many years. He also loved gardening and working with dogs, especially his Austrailian Shephard Nick. His biggest thing he was proud of was being a husband, dad and grandpa. He was one of a kind, eclectic, and walked to the beat of his own drum you could say. He loved us all and never met a stranger and loved life.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tricia Kelley.
