Franklin Delano Davis

Franklin Delano Davis was called to his heavenly home on December 16, 2020. 

Franklin was born in Alvarado, TX on November 12, 1937 to Alfred Benjamin Davis and Lena Viola Harper.

Franklin met the love of his life Paula Ruth Hickman in September of 1957 and was married December 6, 1657. Franklin had 6 children that was he was very proud of. Franklin set a firm foundation for his children through his faith in God and his work ethic. Franklin believed if you wanted something in life, you had to work hard for it. He also taught us life wasn't always fair and if you get knocked down, get up and work harder. 

Franklin was a well respected painter by trade from 1962-2000 when he retired. He loved he Texas Longhorns Football Team as well as the Dallas Cowboys, Frank was the best armchair quarterback. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Mickey Dale Davis.

Franklin is survived by his wife Paula Ruth Davis, of Austin, Texas, Daughter Peggy Sue Burns (Charlie), of Austin, Texas, Son Franklyn Davis, Daughter Karen Renee Slayton (Greg), of Wake Forest, NC, Son Lee Roy Davis (Laura) of Decatur, Texas, and Daughter Della May Davis McClung (Bill), of Georgetown, Texas.
