We are celebrating the life of Edward “Hoppy” Dunn, who was gone to be with the Lord on September 23,2021, at the age of 59. He was born in Alexandra, LA, but was raised in Poplarville, MS, where he and his sibling went to school. He played football and ran track.
We met in 1997, and then marred in June 1998. That’s where we were joined together with 6 wonderful, crazy kids. As years went by, we had 2 more boys together. We went from brady bunch to 7th heaven to eight is enough.
Hoppy was well known for his cooking among other things like a hardworking, honest , caring, straight forward man. We all loved hearing him tell stories because he was so funny about it. He was always there when anyone needed him to talk to or ask him about anything. Quite a few people looked up to him as a mentor/ role model. He enjoyed sitting out on the patio, or cooking on the grill and drinking out of his mason jars. He loved all his grandkids very much; he was Paw Paw!
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Dehass Dunn; Mother, Hazel Marie Underwood , Mother-in-law, Josephine Uvalle; Aunt, Barbara Ann Underwood, Uncle Carley Ray Underwood, Cousin Rick Dale Hammack . Great Grandparents- Vida Hayes, Oscar Dunn , Grace Rogers Underwood, Guy Underwood.
Survived by his wife: Debra U. Dunn; daughters Kayla Marie Dunn; Veronica Yvonne Mancia. Sons Brandon P.
