Eddy E. Walker, born in Cleburne, Texas, to Earl Walker and Annie Maud (Graff), passed away peacefully. Eddy was a graduate of Alvarado High School, where he enjoyed playing football and participating in the Rodeo Club.
Eddy married his high school sweetheart, Jeanie England, the year they graduated. Their union was blessed with three children: Tim, Kim, and Tanner, completing their family.
Eddy is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jeanie; son Tim and his wife Rena; daughter Kim; and son Tanner. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren, Hayden Killebrew and wife Kristy, and Chloe Killebrew. Additionally, he leaves behind his sister, Jimmie Lee Campbell, brothers-in-law Don England and Brian England, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Eddy was preceded in death by his "Lefty" and Annie Maud Walker, brother Billy Joe Walker, son-in- law, John Tompkins, mother-in-law and father-in-law Harold and Viola England, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joe and Connie Huffman and brother-in-law Hollice Campbell.
Eddy's passions included hunting, fishing, spending time with family, dancing, and coaching little league sports. He was an avid supporter of the Alvarado Indian Football team in the 1980s, famously painting a school bus with Jessie Mears to transport football gear and cheer on the team. Eddy also served Alvarado as a city council member, earning various awards for his civic leadership.
Eddy was a member of the Alvarado Masonic Lodge #314 for 50 years where he was a Master Mason and a past Worshipful Master. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a project manager at LTV, from which he eventually retired.
Pallbearers to honor Eddy are Tony Mears, Tim Walker, Mark Bayless, Don England, Randy Walraven, and Dale Bowman. Honorary Pallbearers include Larry Martin and Remon Hemphill.
Eddy E. Walker will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
